Director of Business Development

Aperture Solutions Group is hiring a Director of Business Development (BD Director) to support growth activities as we continue building on our recent successes. Aperture is a small business delivering technology and management consulting solutions to customers across the Federal government. The BD Director will be an integral component of our growth strategy and will contribute to all aspects of business development including account management, capture, proposal and solution development. The perfect candidate will have a personal drive for success and growth that aligns with the company’s growth objectives along with an infectiously positive attitude that enhances our culture of collaboration and shared success.

  • 7+ years of proven success in Federal business development
  • Experience leading capture efforts to include executing teaming strategies, supporting solution development workshops, gathering competitive intelligence, etc.
  • Experience supporting proposal development to include writing and participating in color team reviews
  • Strong working knowledge of Digital Transformation to include platform development (ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc), cloud services, data solutions, Agile, DevOps, etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology or a related field

Additional Preference Given For:

  • Account management/Business Development experience supporting DoS, HHS and DHS

Primary Responsibilities:

Increase Aperture revenue through the support and leadership of business development activities. These activities will include:

  • Grow the Aperture opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities
  • Lead and participate in the identification, qualification, and pursuit of strategic business opportunities
  • Actively participate in capture activities to include executing teaming strategies, leading gate reviews, supporting solution and proposal development, development of cost/pricing strategies
  • Assist in developing holistic growth strategies including solution offering, customer focus, investment strategy and more
  • Increase Aperture’s presence in the market through networking, customer engagement and other marketing strategies
  • Own and drive the development and submission of white papers and RFI responses to proactively shape strategic opportunities
  • Execute customer engagement plans to include getting meetings with new target customers, preparing presentation materials, partnering with internal technologists to deliver presentations, and supporting follow up activities
  • Participate as a thought leader in bid decisions, gate reviews, and strategic growth planning
