As a Platform Business Analyst you will function as a member of the Aperture Digital Transformation Practice in support of our USCIS customer. As a part of the Digital Transformation team, you will help clients implement modern IT and automated business solutions. As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for developing a strong connection between the operational and business needs of the customer and the developers. You will be responsible for working with system stakeholders to identify business, functional and system requirements, support the development and execution stakeholder communication plans and system documentation and serve as business lead in the overall implementation of platform applications.

 

About The Job

  • Lead meetings with system owners and other stakeholders to gather business requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements, accurately translating them into functional and technical requirements for the development team
  • Work with the development team to continuously refine the documented requirements
  • Perform stakeholder engagement and outreach activities
  • Serve as Scrum Master as needed, supporting user story creation, sprint planning, and overseeing the tasks of the development team
  • Develop procedures, manuals, and other documentation for the systems developed based on the requirements gathered
  • Support testing activities during each sprint such as developing test scripts and testing user stories in the development environment
  • Work with government product owner to provide insight on business requirements and functional design

 

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience
  • 3+ years in platform experience in Salesforce or ServiceNow
  • 2+ years of experience in requirements gathering, business process mapping, optimization/reengineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Experience functioning in a leadership role on an Agile project environment
  • Familiarity with Financial Management, Human Resources and Federal business processes
  • Experience developing “as-is” (current state) and “to-be” (future state) customer journeys
  • Experience leading facilitated sessions in the customer journey mapping and pain points
  • Experience conducting Human-Centered Design (HCD) workshops and interviews
  • Hands-on experience creating user personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and capability roadmaps
  • Active US Government Security Clearances
